Roles Available

Dog Walker

Are you a dog lover?... Do you like outdoor work?... Need a part-time role to fit around other commitments?
If your answer is yes then dog walking could be a role to consider.

Due to expansion of our dog-walking business, Woof Dog Co is seeking an additional dog walker to join the team.

The Position

We are looking for dog and outdoors lovers!
The role will involve dog collections, walking dogs and dropping the dogs home. We usually walk in groups of friendly well trained dogs (mostly off lead) in the safety of our 10 acre purpose built facility. We never do boring street walking! So be ready to get muddy!
The role also includes visiting dogs and puppies in their own homes (pop ins) and tending to their needs when required. We operate in all weathers so you must be prepared to get wet and muddy.
The job also includes quite a bit of driving as we cover a large area so be ready for a good portion of your normal days being spent in the van. However we don’t drive for long distances doing nothing! You will be constantly jumping in and out of the van collecting and dropping off dogs and of course, going on fun walks with your group of dogs!
Being a dog walker is a fantastic and unique job and it can be very rewarding and lots of fun. However, you must not think that it is easy. You will be in charge of groups of dogs which can be very physical and testing and you will need to be able to adapt to and control any situation which may arise.

Requirements:

- Applicants must have an ability to handle a group of dogs using positive re-enforcement control methods

- Great customer service & personal skills

- Confident to drive specialised business vans throughout the surrounding area.

- Manual Drivers Licence - clean preferred

- Ability to work in a team or alone

- A criminal record check is a requirement, paid for by the applicant (refundable)

- Applicants must be able to arrange their own transport to and from Woof HQ in Lidlington, Bedfordshire

- Applicants must be 18 or over to apply

Salary: DOE

Hours are generally 4 - 6 hours per day, mid morning until early afternoon, Monday to Friday. (Exact timings TBC upon successful application)

References will be required.

Please send up to date CV along with a cover letter detailing your experience with dogs and your back ground info to:
